Rack shelf on the beach

Last week due to Earth Day all lessons in my school were cancelled. Instead of sitting in the classrooms all students were working together trying to clean the local beach. This event has already become a tradition in our school. As every year we were cleaning up the beach because since I could remember it has always been a very unclean place. One day of united work of many hands can really change the landscape and the work we did this year shows it clearly. Every single student was equipped with a trash bag and gloves. The teachers had divided us into groups of four or five people, after that every group was given a small area to clean. At that day there was something about one hundred students of different age and ten teachers. We were working there for almost five hours and I think that we achieved some good results. We cleaned up the whole beach from all the garbage and it was looking better than ever when we were standing there. We gathered over fifty bags full of different objects that people had thrown on the beach. I personally found even a rack shelf there and pieces of a computer monitor. But the rack shelf and the pieces of the computer where not the most unusual thing that was found that day. One of the students found a toilet bowl among the sand. I think that Earth Day should be everyday because looking at the speed of making our planet a big trashcan we need to clean it much more often than it takes place nowadays.
